Why do we collect your information?

In order to fulfil its purpose and deliver value to its members, BTEA collects and processes certain information from its members, partners, business contacts, collaborators, event delegates and other stakeholders in the field of activity of BETA. We collect this information for contractual reasons (i.e. of members and suppliers), or to fulfil our legitimate interest as an association.

Information acquired/provided through our website or websites of our member organisations (if applicable), or data processors. This may include information provided at the time of registering for events, subscribing to services such as newsletters or briefings, participating in discussion boards, posting material or requesting further information. When will BETA disclose personal information and/or an IP address

When required by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to:

  • Cooperate with the investigations of purported unlawful activities and conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on BETA
  • Protect and defend the rights or property of the BETA web site, or visitors to the BETA web site
