BETA has recently adopted a charity for 2018 called Team Margot
Team Margot is a charity who’s aim is to campaign for more people to join the worldwide registers for potential bone marrow and stem cell donors, especially those from black, Asian and mixed-race communities in order to save the lives of children and adults like Margot.
Over 37,000 people worldwide need a bone marrow transplant
but they must find a matching donor first
Awareness of the need for more donors is poor, which is astonishing when you consider that every 35 seconds, someone in the world is diagnosed with blood cancer.
The youth travel sector is the perfect fit to help and support this initiative, sharing it via young people and adults to educate them about the need to support charities like Team Margot.
